Wycliffe Bible Translators aim is to see a Bible translation program started in every language in the world that needs one by 2025 (Vision 2025). We know of 1,919 needy languages as of 2014.

My duties are to represent the mission to churches and other entities as Minister-at-Large (speaker) and to raise funds for large overseas projects.

Bio:

Forrest has served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for many years. He and his first wife, Margaret, ministered in South America for over twenty years, where he was jungle pilot, aviation manager, and field director. In recent years he has served in the U.S. as North Central Regional Director, Minister-at-Large, and Major Gifts Officer. Sadly, Margaret passed away from liver cancer in early 2013. Graciously, the Lord brought Forrest and his former pastor’s wife, Wanda Reid, together. Her husband Richard had died of cancer in 2011.
As Minister-at Large Forrest shares the challenge of Bible translation in church missions conferences, summer conferences, seniors’ and children’s missions emphases and similar events.

Forrest holds a diploma in Missionary Aviation from Moody Bible Institute, Commercial Pilot and Airframe Mechanic licenses with Instrument and Multi-engine ratings from the FAA, and BA and MBA degrees from Governors State University.

A: All my adult life.

Q: What main event prompted you to go to this mission field?

A: sense of calling from the Lord, even as a child, to serve Him.
